HMM Oslo, South Korea’s Hyundai Merchant Marine’s second 24,000 TEU ship has left for Europe with all its slots full, this was first achieved by the sister vessel HMM Algeciras. HMM Oslo in total loaded 19,505 TEU, in Busan New Port, Hyundai Pusan Newport, then travelled on to Shanghai, Ningbo and Yantian in China. The ship went to Singapore before departing for Europe. This could be a sign that container shipments from East Asia are recovering. Previously the first 24,000 TEU ship, HMM Algeciras picked-up a record 19,621 TEU.
